You can't play 2 games in a week. You would be killed. Baseball plays 162, but it's not as intense or painful as football
I realize comparing the number of games in baseball to football would sound absurd, that's why I said that I realize football players work really hard. I'm just saying that such a small amount of games played doesn't deserve such a high pay as compared to baseball players(who I realize don't do much though Landers would beg to differ) and basketball players who not only have to practice just as football players do, but also have to play games every day. Honestly, I believe football is made to be a bigger deal than it really is. Obviously there are numerous injuries and I do realize retired football players must deal a lot since their physical health has been effected greatly because of the years they gave playing, but with only less than 2 dozen games a year, and the constant commercial breaks in between plays(which is why football bores me so much), they use it to make a ton of money. I know a lot of times my thoughts are jumbled and they often anger you guys whenever you're trying to read my posts and I jump from subject to subject, but pretty much my whole point is that football shouldn't get the attention that it gets. In football, it's more like taking one or a few hits and then you get a break because either there's a time out, there's a lot of time for a play, or there's a turn over and you sit out while the defense/offense plays. In sports like soccer there's literally constant running/jogging/movement for 45 minutes and then a 10 minute break, and then another 45 minute period of constant movement. There are never any time outs and there are very few substitutions. In basketball it is somewhat the same, so it just annoys the crap out of me that football gets so much attention when there is a lot less games and movement as opposed to other sports. Maybe it's just an American thing because of the whole contact idea, idk, because football is no where close to as popular as basketball, soccer, and baseball in other parts of the world. I'm sorry this is so long and I'm pretty much making a retarded argument based solely on opinion, so you don't even need to reply if you find it to be too stupid to argue with lol. I just tend to have controversial opinions based solely on emotion and not much facts and I end up saying them. And to answer your question, yes I follow sports a good amount. Just not as much as the members on here to have discussions about various topics regarding them. tl;dr- Most of my posts are based solely on opinion and fueled by emotion instead of logic. Sorry for all the times I frustrate members on here who try to read them.
Alright, well lets just agree to disagree since this is that part of a forum argument where we both just say the same thing over and over with slightly different wording and never agree on it.
thats a pretty sick goal. Can't believe soccer has never really caught on in the U.S. its a great sport.....BARCELONA!
